Meet Dr. Adrian Bak
Dr. Bak attended McGill University for undergraduate studies prior to completing his Medical Degree at the University of Ottawa. He completed Internal Medicine training at the University of Western Ontario prior to General Adult Gastroenterology training at the University of Calgary. He then pursued further training in ERCP with a fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston prior to moving to Kelowna in July of 2000.
Dr. Bak maintains a general gastroenterology practice in addition to offering expertise in advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures at Kelowna General Hospital. He holds an appointment with the University of British Columbia Okanagan as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Bak is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He maintains membership in the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
In his spare time, Dr. Bak enjoys participating in Thursday night doctors hockey as well as keeping active at the Rutland Family YMCA. He enjoys cooking and especially looks forward to watching his daughter Amelie riding her horses on weekends.
